Let's trek with purpose & cleanup Churdhar trek route & top. The difficulty level of trek is "moderate" with total length around 15 KM, please make sure you are physically fit for the trek.
Take a bus for Solan & then find bus for Nohradhar. Details of homestay will be shared in WhatsApp group post enrolment.
Things to Carry:
- Must carry a raincoat
- Bring your own reusable water bottle.
- Bring a reusable plate, spoon, and glass in order to avoid using disposables.
- Warm Jacket
- Good grip shoes
- You can bring snacks in a reusable dabba unpacked like channa, peanuts, dry-fruits, namkeen, etc.
- A reusable cloth carry bag in case you want to buy something from the local market.
Rules to Follow:
- The campaign will be zero waste, hence all volunteers need to follow zero waste lifestyle during the campaign
- Do not carry any plastic based food wrappers (chips, toffees, biscuits, etc.) or bottles.
- Do not bring any bluetooth speakers. We must respect the silence of the forest
- Drinking/Smoking is not allowed during the campaign
- Breakfast, Dinner & stay will be complimentary
Day 1: Reach home stay in Nauradhar. Day 1 is for rest and acclimatise
Day 2: Early morning at 5:30 am breakfast will be served. We will start at 6:00 AM & clean the trek route while going up & reach the top by 5-6 PM. We will have an overnight stay at Dharamshala nearby temple.
Day 3: Post breakfast, we will do cleaning at top & then take back all the garbage bags to the base by 4 PM or earlier. Thereafter Soldiers can check out and board bus from Nohradhar.
